The Quarry Project Re-Imagined installation will be in June 2024 at the Kent Museum and will feature the work of Leslie Anderson, Julia Barstow, Hannah Dennison, Alisa Dworsky, Lukas Huffman, Andreas John, Henry John, Marcy Kass, Howard Norman, Michael Kovner, Andric Severance and Michael Wisniewski.
The above image is the "ready for press" teaser postcard for The Quarry Project’s coda. We were having a walk-through of the building and grounds – Marcy, Julia, Leslie, and Michael W – and ended up on the barn lawn where we envisioned the House sculpture. We four lined up in what we agreed was the best orientation for the House. Marcy captured that moment, then superimposed one of Julia’s house photographs, ghosting in the ether around us. It speaks to the intriguing mystery of the quarry and what draws each artist.
