In ten days time, we will open The Quarry Project ECHOES exhibition featuring the artists who were involved in the performance aspect of The Quarry Project.
The group of us – Leslie, Julia, Andreas and myself – with help from several others from time to time, have been working pretty much every day at Kents Corner State Historic Site in Calais to create the installation. Of the 18 spaces in the building, 12 have been completed and two more by tomorrow. The outside exhibits are in place and ready. Everything will be done by Saturday.
We have some media to share with you.
Here is an interview I did with Jess Wilson of The Media Factory. The Times Argus’ Mary Gow did an interview last week. The article will be coming out this weekend with photographs by Jeb Wallace Brodeur. Pam Polston will write an article for 7 Days that will be out by June 5. Press releases have been sent far and wide.
Please go to our website and this link in particular to get directions of all sorts. Remember that getting to the Kent and being in that neighborhood, you are entering a "no internet pocket". There is neither gps nor internet, so follow the old fashion written directions and bring cash.
We are looking forward to having you all there during the duration of the exhibit, May 31 through June 30 every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 – 5pm.
Gratefully,
Hannah
