A Career Achievement Award for Yours Truly!

The other day, I was driving to Montpelier to meet up with two Quarry Project dancers to experience a slice of their lives outside on their own turf.

Out of the blue, I got a call from someone I have known peripherally since 1980. He told me I had been selected to receive a cash prize for my work over these many years as a dance artist - the Vermont version of a MacArthur.

I had to pull over and weep a bit and noticed all the myriad of feelings that came. I was, and am grateful for this surprise opportunity to practice all that I preach.

For those of you in the region, please join us on:

• Tuesday, September 15th at 2pm (rain date Friday, September 18th same time) on the Church Street Marketplace in front of Burlington City Arts (BCA).

• Call this number – 802-658-1270 any time after 10am on the 14th – if there is any question about the weather. There will be a message posted on that number letting you know if the event it going ahead or being postponed to Friday.

• There will be limited, separated seating as well as standing room.

• MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED!!!
